Red Velvet Underglaze is a vivd crimson at cone 05, deepens to a dark wine red at cone 5, and turns brownish as it begins to burn out at cone 10. A clear glaze accentuates the color of the underglaze nicely at cone 05 and cone 5.
If AMACO Velvets are used for food or drink, they must be covered by a dinnerware-safe clear glaze and fired properly.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
Price is per two-ounce bottle.
