White Velvet Underglaze is a snow white color that is bright and minty at cone 05, softens at cone 5, and becomes slightly warmer at cone 10, while maintaining a clean white color. A clear glaze accentuates the underglaze at any temperature.
If AMACO Velvets are used for food or drink, they must be covered by a dinnerware-safe clear glaze and fired properly.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
