Yellow Ochre is a colorant used in the same manner as the irons in glazes and clays to achieve different hues of yellows, browns, or brick-reds depending on firing atmosphere. It produces colors similar to iron oxide. Yellow ochre is rich, clean, and brilliant -- an absolutely permanent opaque pigment.
